Voices of the Heart — Fostering Connection Among Peers

Activity decription
The activity aimed to encourage students from Forms 1 to 3 to write letters—either anonymously or with their names—to their peers as a form of encouragement or comfort. The student council set up collection boxes on each floor to facilitate letter submissions. Selected letters were then broadcast during recess to promote communication and support among students.
Activity highlight
JC LevelMind Student Wellness Club of Notre Dame College held their first three-day on-campus mental health event, “Voices of the Heart,” in February. The activity encouraged students to write letters—either anonymously or signed—to friends or other classmates, expressing care and encouragement through their words.

The society committee members are busy preparing for the event.

Students are broadcasting the collected letters live on-site 📢
There is a heartfelt message from one of the letters, cheering on all students:
"You are already doing great; there’s no need to blame yourself for not doing enough, nor to push yourself to the brink. Relax a little! May your journey towards the future be smooth and free from obstacles. Believe that one day you will surely succeed. Keep going!"

Students encourage everyone not to give up and to keep striving toward their goals. 💪🏻
Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the students, the committee members collected many letters. After careful selection, these letters were broadcast during lunchtime, further promoting mutual support and heartfelt communication among students, allowing the entire school to share in this warmth and encouragement.
Purpose of this activity
The committee members hope that through this event, students will be encouraged to more actively express care and support to those around them. They believe that this will not only strengthen the connections among students but also foster a friendlier and more inclusive school environment. By writing letters, students can freely share their feelings—whether it’s encouragement for friends or comfort for classmates—allowing everyone to feel understood and valued.
